Gay Soccer Amsterdam rents an outdoor pitch from Powerleague. This organization has its own playing rules for official matches, “Powerleague Rules”, which are detailed below in this page. We use a simplified version of those rules in our friendly matches.
Specific Gay Soccer Amsterdam 5 vs 5 rules

- All goals must be scored after crossing the half-way line.
- A player cannot enter into his opponent’s goal area under any circumstance.
- If a player makes the ball touch the net above the pitch, the play stops and the opposite team resumes the game.
- All walls are fair use during a match.
- After each goal, the game re-starts from the center circle.
- Sliding and tackles are not allowed. Minimal physical contact can be made against the walls.
- The goalkeeper can rotate within each team.
- The goalkeeper can only resume the game by passing the ball with his hands or with a kick.
